Pilot and Proficiency Requirements
Anyone may rent aircraft from Cirrus Aviation so long as they provide a copy of their pilot’s license, current medical, and driver’s license. A pilot must also successfully complete a one hour checkout with an instructor. We also require renter’s insurance when renting any of our aircraft. Aircraft Checkout Requirements
Cessna 172 SP
- 1 hour checkout with instructor
- Cessna 172 SP G1000
- Prior G1000 experience will require 1 hour checkout with an instructor
- No prior G1000 experience will require about 3 hours with an instructor to learn the computer system
Warrior PA128
- 1 hour checkout with an instructor required
- Can be granted when checked out in the Arrow lll Turbo or Seneca; turbo with previous experience shown in a Warrior
Cessna 150
- 1 hour checkout with an instructor required
Arrow III Turbo
- Dual only
Seneca II Turbo
- Dual only
